Fundraising Executive
Location: High Wycombe/hybrid working
Hours: Two days per week
Salary: £31,500 FTE (£12,600 pro rata) plus pension contribution
Reports to: CEO
About the role:
The Fundraising Executive will lead on securing income from trusts and foundations,
identifying funder opportunities, developing compelling funding applications, and managing
relationships with funders.
The role will also contribute to broader fundraising activity, including corporate partnerships and other income streams,
to support the sustainability and growth of the organisation.
The postholder will work closely with the CEO in prioritising funding bids.

Our board of Trustees have legal responsibility for our charity. This includes ensuring our charity is carrying out its purposes for the public benefit, complies with our governing document and the law, and ensuring that the charity’s resources are managed responsibly.

The Youth Advisory Board plays a crucial role in amplifying the voice of young people aged 13-25 in High Wycombe. Alongside the Trustee Board, they share an interest in ensuring that the Youth Enquiry Service (YES) delivers its services to the highest standard across the Wycombe district. By actively participating in decision-making, they help shape the organisation’s direction.
The board also works closely with the Trustees to develop a clear strategy, mentoring members to ensure they fully understand the challenges faced by the youth of High Wycombe. The Youth Advisory Board operates collectively, meaning all members act as a unified group rather than individually.
- Attend all Youth Advisory Board meetings and Trustee meetings when invited or give enough notice if you are unable to attend. We understand that you have other commitments such as school which must come first.
- Be the voice of the youth (13-25) for High Wycombe, helping Youth Enquiry Service and related organisations, including Bucks Council, to understand the needs of the Youth in High Wycombe and surrounding communities.
- Raise awareness of the services Youth Enquiry Service has to offer to their counterparts in their community.
- Approve, shape and support Youth Enquiry Service’s strategies, policies and procedures. Being a key contributor to YES and its purpose, vision and goals.
- Support Youth Enquiry Service in its messaging to its audiences and ensuring that it is relevant and modernised.
- Mentor the Youth Enquiry Service trustee board members to ensure they are consistent with the pursuit of the objectives of the governing document and strategy (when applicable). To also ensure they understand the needs of youth in High Wycombe.
- Represent Youth Enquiry Service in good faith and to safeguard its interests during their term.
In addition to the above duties of a Youth Advisory Board member, each member should use any of their existing knowledge, expertise (especially around youth) to help make Youth Advisory Board make sound decisions. This may involve.
- Leading discussions
- Focusing on key issues
- Providing guidance on new initiatives
- Working on specific projects with Youth Enquiry Service
- Attend events and participate in social media where possible
- Aged between 13-25 to represent Youth Enquiry Service’s audience.
- Willingness to attend 1 board meeting per month until their term has come to an end.
- Willingness to give some time to Youth Enquiry Service to partake in events, social media and activities to push awareness of the charity to the community.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member.
- Willingness to undertake any training, mentoring or access any development opportunities to help with their role as a youth advisory board member.

The Youth Advisory Board (YAB) is a group of young people aged 13 – 24 who help guide and improve Youth Enquiry Service. We value the voices of young people and want to make sure our services are relevant, effective, and accessible.
What we do:
- Meet once a month to discuss ideas, provide feedback, and review our services
- Communicate regularly by email to support social media, events, and service improvements
- Act as a sounding board for new projects, initiatives, and campaigns
- Help out at events and stalls for young people in the community
